Corporate Training Consultant for Overseas Teams - When Distance Makes Development Difficult - Contact Me For More Information
Your business has expanded. The map of your company now stretches from the UK to places like Austria, Germany, France, Portugal, and even the USA.
The world feels smaller than ever - until it comes to developing your people.
Because while technology connects your offices, it doesn’t build confident, consistent leaders.
Emails, Teams calls, and webinars can’t create the same spark of understanding, trust, or accountability that great leadership training delivers in person.
And that’s the problem - you’ve worked hard to build a culture that works, but how do you make it travel?
If you’re a Business Owner, HR Manager, Training Director, or Department Head, you already know the questions that keep international teams up at night:
Different countries, different expectations, and sometimes, different definitions of “good leadership.”
You want every manager, no matter where they are, working with the same clarity, confidence, and connection. You want the culture that built your success in the UK to thrive across your global offices.
That’s exactly what I do.
I’m Adrian Close, a multi-award-winning UK training consultant specialising in international leadership and management development.
I travel to your teams - wherever they are - to deliver high-energy, practical, and completely bespoke training that brings your company culture to life across borders.
No generic slides. No pre-recorded webinars. Just real learning that sticks, delivered by someone who’s been there, led teams himself, and knows what makes leadership actually work.
If you want your international offices to think like one team - inspired, aligned, and ready to lead with confidence
let’s make it happen.

Corporate Training Consultant for Overseas Teams

I’m Adrian Close, Director of learning at Ultimate Leadership Training, and I specialise in leadership and management training for UK-based companies with international teams.
I travel to your offices overseas to deliver high-impact in-person leadership training courses and retreat-style development programmes designed specifically for your people, your culture, and your business goals.
Many of my clients describe what I do as “bringing the UK standard of leadership training abroad”. It’s personal, practical, and perfectly aligned with how you want your people to lead.
With over two decades of leadership and training experience (as a business owner and a trainer), I’ve worked with organisations of all sizes - from SMEs to global corporations - delivering leadership and management programmes in the UK, Europe, and the USA.
When you work with me, you get a UK-based training consultant who combines:

Many companies try to bridge the international gap with online courses, local providers, or generic leadership materials. The problem? None of these approaches truly deliver.
That’s why many HR and training managers turn to me as their UK leadership training consultant for international delivery - because they want training that connects, translates, and transforms.

When I deliver a course abroad, I bring the same energy, interactivity, and results-focused approach that has made my UK training so successful.
Here’s what sets it apart:
Every international programme is designed specifically for your audience - culturally aware, language-accessible, and relevant to the real challenges your teams face.
Whether it’s in Vienna, Frankfurt, Paris, Lisbon, or New York, I make sure your people feel the training was built for them.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. I tailor every course to your company’s culture, objectives, and industry. Some of my most requested international courses include:
In addition to my standard programmes, I also deliver leadership and management retreats abroad, as featured on the Ultimate Leadership Training website.
These retreat-style programmes combine powerful learning experiences with reflective time and team connection, all set in inspiring international locations such as Portugal, France, or the Austrian Alps.
A leadership retreat isn’t just a training course - it’s an immersive leadership experience.
Here’s what makes these retreats so impactful:
Held at handpicked venues (or one that you choose) that encourage focus and creativity, each retreat takes leaders out of the day-to-day and gives them space to think, connect, and grow.
The retreats are built around practical leadership models, real-world challenges, and deep reflection. Participants explore how they lead, communicate, and make decisions - with time to put insights into action.
Retreats are ideal for leadership teams who want to strengthen trust, alignment, and collaboration while developing together. Many include facilitated group coaching, outdoor team challenges, and strategy workshops.
Clients often describe these retreats as “transformative”. Leaders return with renewed confidence, improved communication, and a stronger sense of purpose - ready to cascade those changes through their teams.
Whether it’s a three-day management retreat in Portugal, a leadership development programme in France, or a team strategy retreat in Germany, I handle the full design and delivery, aligning every element to your company’s outcomes.

Corporate Training Consultant for Overseas Teams
If you’ve ever booked a leadership or management course and found that the enthusiasm fades after a week, you’re not alone.
It’s one of the biggest frustrations for HR teams, business leaders and trainers like me - investing time and budget in training that feels great on the day but doesn’t change behaviours long term.
That happens when the training is too scripted, too theoretical, or disconnected from the real challenges your people face.
That’s why my approach is different.
Every programme I deliver - in the UK or abroad - is bespoke to your business goals, built from real experience, and focused on helping participants apply what they learn immediately.
No reading from a script. No generic PowerPoint slides. Just practical, engaging sessions grounded in what works in the real world.
I’ve learned that people remember what they do, not what they hear - so my training is highly interactive. It’s designed to stick because it connects with how people think, feel, and act at work.
Participants leave with confidence, clarity, and a clear plan of action - not just a folder of notes.
Looking for a UK management training consultant for international teams?
Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, an experience that taught me more about teamwork, resilience, and leadership under pressure than any textbook ever could.I’m a multi-award-winning business owner, manager, leader, and author, and I’ve built my career on the principles I now teach.
Before becoming a full-time training consultant, I managed and led successful teams across different industries - learning first-hand how to motivate people, navigate change, and deliver results.
That experience shaped the way I train today. Every tool, model, and idea I share has been tested in real businesses, with real people, facing real challenges.
I constantly study new leadership ideas, read widely, and learn from the hundreds of delegates and organisations I work with each year — which means my content is always current, practical, and relevant.
Whether I’m delivering a leadership course in Austria, a management retreat in the Peak District, or a team-building workshop in the USA, I tailor every session to your specific needs.
When you work with me, you’re not getting a “trainer who talks about leadership.”
You’re getting a leader who trains from experience.
Outside the training room, I’m a husband and a proud dad of two.
My family keeps me grounded, motivated, and constantly learning about patience, communication, and what really matters - lessons that, funnily enough, often find their way into my courses too.
I’m also an adventurer and mountain lover. I’ve climbed peaks across the UK and beyond, including Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, an experience that taught me more about teamwork, resilience, and leadership under pressure than any textbook ever could.
There’s something powerful about challenging yourself in nature - it strips away hierarchy and brings out the best in people. That same philosophy shapes the outdoor and retreat elements of my leadership training.
When I’m not training corporate teams, I volunteer my time to take young people into the Peak District, helping them work towards their Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
It’s one of the most rewarding things I do - supporting them as they build confidence, learn responsibility, and discover what they’re capable of.
Those experiences remind me that leadership isn’t about titles or job roles - it’s about helping others grow. And that’s exactly what my training aims to do.
The Peak District – Training with Purpose and Perspective
The Peak District National Park isn’t just where I volunteer - it’s also one of the most popular venues for leadership and management retreats for teams travelling to the UK (as pictured).
Its mix of natural beauty, open space, and peace creates the perfect environment for reflection, connection, and strategic thinking.
As a qualified mountain guide, I often take groups from UK and international organisations into the countryside for some much-needed R&R (rest and reflection) as part of their retreat.
It’s not just a walk - it’s a chance for leaders to step back, talk honestly, and reconnect as people. Many of the best team breakthroughs happen halfway up a hill, not in a boardroom.
It’s not just a walk - it’s a chance for leaders to step back, talk honestly, and reconnect as peopleIf you want leadership or management training that lasts - not just another tick-box course - then let’s have a conversation.
